The thyroid – are often ignored or misdiagnosed
Most tests use blood called MD T3, T4 and T7 to determine the activity thyroid patients. They then compare these readings of blood to the so-called "normal" range, and if blood tests fall within these ranges, the patient is told they are "normal" or "OK".
One of the reasons why three tests are used because no of them are very accurate. I saw many people who said they were in the "normal", but when they test with temperature exact test below, they have proved very hypothyroidism (low activity).
Dr. Broda Barnes, a physician order ahead his time, found more than 50 years that the basal body temperature was a good indicator of thyroid activity, in particular, temperature on the body resulting from sleep. She wrote a book on thyroid activity and the various ills and problems arising from low (hypoglycemia) thyroid activity.
I am indebted to Mr. Roy Kupsinel Orlando, Florida to introduce me to Mr. Barnes work, and for various other aid it has given me while I was in practice there, and learning alternates and orthomolecular therapies ..
Thyroid Testing Activity
At night, shake down a thermometer mercury ordinary type – Make sure it is shaken down and below 95 degrees. The next morning, wake up, put the thermometer under the arm with the bulb in the armpit without clothes between and her armpit. Leave it there for 10 minutes (snooze alarm device if you wake to an alarm). Just nod for the time lie forever.
After 10 minutes, take the thermometer and read it, write down the result immediately. (In the morning, most people do not think and can clearly remember reading). This is known as your Early AM BBT, and "normal" should be between 97.8 and 98.2. This reading taken by the arm is slightly smaller and slightly more accurate than that taken by mouth. If you have a low grade infection may read this higher than normal, so if it is in this range above, you must repeat the above procedure every day for a week or two. If a menstruating woman, do so on the 2nd and 3rd day of your period.
When it is below the range above, you are probably hypothyroid, and if higher, then you're probably hyperthyroidism, or if you have an infection somewhere in May. (Hypo means low in docterese, and means super high.)
Some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism can be: obesity, depression, low energy, fatigue, many infections, chronic headaches, circulatory problems, chronic skin, poor memory and / or concentration, eczema, psoriasis, irregular menstruation, neurosis, irritability, hair loss, and much more.
A serious problem that many of those who are suffering from hypothyroidism is obesity.
Because the thyroid regulates the rate of metabolism, and is hypo in activity, the body stores energy as fat. A person hyperthyroidism is usually still quite thin, no matter what they eat. (We all hate those lucky!)
To treat hypothyroidism, you can try to find a doctor or an RD, who will write you a prescription to Natural Armor. Synthroid is what is often prescribed, but it has been linked to osteoporosis. There is also iodine has been found useful in conjunction with the thyroid. Or, you can go to a health food store and get a gland which contains the thyroid (with other gland usually). Start with two glandular / day for one week and use the test temperature above to determine if this is right for you.
