Hoping and wishing everyone a fantastic new year in 2018!
At times 2017 was hard to handle . . . But mercifully life keeps moving ahead.
I am grateful for so many things.
I marched in the women’s march in January with my dear artist friends. Then I traveled to Memphis for my mother’s eighth fifth birthday party celebration. In February/March I took a two week artist retreat with my good friend Deslie in California. I traveled to Brussels, Bellgium with Spence in June. My entire family attended the McDonnell Lewis family reunion in Colorado. A total of 150+ family members gathered together thanks to the amazing organizing abilities of my first cousins, Martha, Annie, David, Elizabeth, Eileen, and Sarah.
I saw the Solar eclipse with my sister Susan and friend Louise. Abosolutely amazing.
I exhibited my art work through out the region. I have been a bit reclusive as I’m working on a new project. I helped Sarah, my daughter move to New York City when she started a new job in September. YEAH!
In November we celebrated Thanksgiving and the ninety fifth birthday of May May, Spence’s grandmother, who lives in Lufkin Texas. My son Sam, who lives in Los Angeles California traveled to join us for the big Shin Dig in Texas.
For the Christmas holidays my mother visited us from Memphis, TN. We had a marvelous feast on Christmas night. It was a good year.
Another gratitude all my family members and friends who were in the strike zone of the hurricanes and wild fires ravageing Texas, Florida and California remained safe. BIG BIG Gratitude. Find out more information when you click here
